As part of my responsibilities on the Parkdata research team, I developed a series of wildflower identification web apps for Cedar Breaks National Monument and Zion National Park.
I worked closely with botanists in Zion National Park and Utah Tech University to write the general information and physical descriptions for each of the plants, build the database, and design a user flow to help park visitors identify flowers on their own. One of the most enjoyable parts of this process was doing user testing to understand how to optimize the app for the general public, not just people who are already familiar with flora.
I designed and prototyped the app with Figma and built out each of the vector elements, including the logo, in Adobe Illustrator.
